I am Léa, 18 years old, just graduated from high school and studying now at UCV. I live in the studios on campus, which is very convenient! My hobbies include sports (bike, skiing, and running), playing the guitar, art, cooking, and photography.
I am currently studying at University College Venlo, following the Liberal Arts and Sciences program. I chose this program because it enables me to study nutrition and psychology at the same time. Moreover, I like the fact that the school is small and that we have a personal academic advisor to help us throughout our studies. UCV was the only school that offered a program including nutrition and psychology. Furthermore, I like the small size of the city too.
Venlo is a good student city: it has a lot of cheap restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. It is perfect to hang out in a café with friends, to go to bars, have a picnic next to the Maas, and the Farmer’s Market is cheap too. In my spare time, I love hanging out with friends in cafés, going for walks, or bike rides. My favorite places are Milk&Cookies, Happy Italy, Café Central, the Farmer’s Market, and Bagels&Beans. These places are really cute and cozy.
Lastly, I would like to give some tips: look for housing very early, get involved in associations and buy a bike.
