Zomerparkfeest
We are proud that one of the biggest free festivals in all of the Netherlands takes place in Venlo. Every August the four-day festival takes over the Julianapark with the best live music, imposing dance acts, breathtaking theatre shows, beautiful poetry readings, hilarious cabaret acts and much, much more.
Zomerparkfeest (which translates to Summer Park Festival because what you see is definitely what you get) attracts more than ten thousand visitors. The festival line-up consists of international acts as well as many festival tradition, such as the closing act on Sunday evening in Zelt. One thing’s for sure, together we are bringing the Zelt down!
A Day in The Park
As soon as we catch the first rays of sunshine, all of Venlo goes outside to enjoy a day (or evening) in the park. That is why there is an entire festival dedicated to this favourite pastime. Every year in September you can enjoy A Day in the Park, a free picknick festival in the Nolenspark.
As the name suggests you bring your own food, drinks and picknick blanket. A Day in the Park opens up the stage for local talent and offers a programme full of live music, dj’s, dance and theater!
ZOKS
The Lambertusplein in Blerick magically transforms from an ordinary square into a full-fledged festival for one weekend a year. Fans of live music should definitely make a point to visit ZOKS. The line-up consists of the best of the best international as well as national icons of (rock) music.
During the day you can enjoy smaller acts and work your way up to the big head liners that perform in the evening. All that for exactly zero euros! How about that?
SPIJS!
If you want to learn about Venlo, you need to know three things. We never say no to a party, love good food and enjoy going out for a drink. It makes perfect sense that there is an annual food festival, where we combine all three!
All along the Maasboulevard you can relax with friends by the water and enjoy the delicious food from renowned food trucks, dance or bop along to music from live acts and dj’s and drink the best craft beers, cocktails and wines that SPIJS! has to offer.
