Joëlle is a Health Food and Innovation Management student

Joëlle is 22 years old and Healthy Food and Innovation Management student at Maastricht University - Campus Venlo. In this study she focuses on developing healthy food products. She has been living in a student complex in Venlo for four years now. "Many students who live here, study at HAS and are also involved with nutrition, which leads to fun conversations and sometimes new insights!" The complex she lives in has both rooms and studios. Joëlle lives in a studio where she only has to share the shower.

Normally there is plenty to do in Venlo in terms of going out. Joëlle loves festivals and she works as a volunteer at @festileaks. In the summer she will of course be on the festival grounds of @stereosunday and @zomerparkfeest, both are within walking distance of her room. Unfortunately it was canceled last year, so you have to think of other fun things to do. She likes to go for walks during the lockdown. “From my building you can easily reach the Maas, where I get delicious ice cream at @ijsscofantastico in the summer”. Joëlle likes to draw, especially animals or flowers, but sometimes also portraits of her favorite musicians. “I also love to cook, I am now trying out new recipes during corona. Cake, apple turnovers, ice cream or just dinner, I make it all ”. But if it's too much work, she gets pastry from @stekvenlo. Here they have the best vegan cakes!
