The possibilities and advantages of living and working in the border region
One of the most sociable streets in Venlo!
A piece of history
In the 16th century, Keizerstraat used to be a nameless, unpaved road behind the monastery. When it rained, the street turned into a mud pool and therefore it soon got the nickname "Floddergats". The name of the street as we know it today is because in 1804 the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte arrived on horseback via the Cologne Gate (Keulsepoort).
De keizerin - Streetfood bunker
"Never go home" is the feeling they want to create when you enter De Keizerin. A real living room best describes the atmosphere. Enjoy drinks, bites & music in the nicest street in Venlo. Hopefully they can welcome you back to this cozy living room soon, but for now you can drop by their street food bunker for taco and margarita take-away.
Bij De Buren
This restaurant is adjacent to the most beautiful record store in West Europe: Sounds. Normally you can go here for delicious, creative tapas, but this weekend you can enjoy these traditional fries with luxurious toppings!
Cafe de Klep
De Klep is named after the 'beer mug with lid (klep) from which Venlo residents used to drink their beer in earlier times. If you wanted a glass of beer you ordered a 'Klep'. This weekend you can stop by for delicious snacks from the barbecue!
