De Kasteeltuinen is a large estate of 32 hectares with a monumental Castle as its centerpiece. It is one of the most versatile flower and plant parks in Europe. Stroll through the castle gardens full of beautiful flowers and plants and be surprised by the many colors and scents. Walk through a subtropical climate with palms, olive trees and colorful flowers or through the valley with an Oriental water garden and rock garden. You can also play a game of mini golf between the waterfalls. De Kasteeltuinen are open every day from 10:00 to 6:00 PM and you can order your ticket online for € 18.50.

Ice cream parlor Clevers has several branches in Limburg and they already have all kinds of awards to their name. The ice cream parlor in Arcen is located on the characteristic square in the middle of the picturesque village. With over 25 different ice cream flavors, there is something for everyone. You can sit on the terrace with a view over the Maas or you can order a hand ice cream and enjoy it on a bench on the Maas. They are open every day from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM for take-away and you can sit on the terrace from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Relax and unwind

You can do that at Thermaalbad Arcen in the wooded North Limburg landscape. Relax from a spa day in the indoor pool, saunas, steam cabins, herbal baths and whirlpools. You can also spend the night here and there is a lounge / restaurant. Unfortunately, you cannot enjoy the baths and sauna due to Corona at the moment. Beer brewed with love

The Hertog Jan beer brewery was founded in 1915 by 4 friended brewers from Arcen. From authentic copper brewing kettles to an atmospheric cellar with bottles of Grand Prestige from various years. During a brewery visit you follow the complete brewing process accompanied by an experienced guide. Due to corona, the tour cannot take place yet, but hopefully you will be able to make a reservation again soon. In addition to the guided tours, they also have a brewery shop and you can enjoy a Hertog Jan tasting with delicious beers and matching dishes in the garden of the Cafe. That is really a true enjoyment.

Pancake specialties

De Bosrand is a cozy pancake house in the wooded area of Arcen. With 85 types of delicious pancakes and a terrace overlooking the garden, you can enjoy it. With this month the Asparagus pancake as pancake of the month. Next to the restaurant there is also an 18-hole mini golf course that you can already view online via a virtual tour. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
