Student associations in Venlo

Student Association DaVinci, UMAMI, BEET and Omnia are the most active ones in Venlo. In case you didn't know about them, here is the opportunity to find basic information on them in one place.

Student Association DaVinci

Basic info:

It is the only student associations in Venlo. It started operating in 2000 and in the beginnings it was only for students of technical studies. Luckily, since 2017, the association opened up for all the students in Venlo.

Events and membership:

They organize events at least once a month with the exception of holidays and exam weeks. The membership costs €15,- per year and as a member you're entitled to a discount at John Doe & Scala which includes beer, wine and soda also at grand cafe "Bonaparte" they get a 20% discount.

Basic info:

The newest international student association in Venlo, started operating in the early 2018 with the vision of empowering UCV bachelor students to combine academic and non-academic education through social activities.

Events and membership:

They plan on organizing a wide variety of the events which are meant to fill in the cultural gap. The yearly membership costs €18,- in case you did not become a member before 30th of September.

  • Fall feast
  • Poetry night
  • Halloween party

ISA Umami

Basic info:

Student association of the master Health Food Innovation Management of Maastricht University. It was founded in 2010 by four students with support from their classmates and teachers. If you’re wondering about the name, check out their website for more info.

Events and membership

They organize international business trips, workshops, educational events and parties. Unlike other student associations, Umami offers a membership which lasts for two years and costs 30€.

  • BeerCantus (together with Da Vinci)
  • Karaoke night


Basic info:

Omnia is founded for International Business students at Fontys International Business School. They have five different departments, including: Social Responsibility, Pro Cultural, City trips, Workshops and the Party department.

Events and Membership:

Each department within Omnia is in charge of different kinds of events. You can expect cultural talk shows, chocolate sales, workshops, etc. The membership is completely free and you can join which ever department you set your mind to.

  • Ski Trip
